Donations

Since 2004, Cowichan Green Community (CGC) has existed to make our Region a more sustainable place to eat, live, work and play.

Monetary Donations:

From community gardens and summer camp to inspiring guest speakers and educational workshops, CGC has been working to create positive change in our community, one action at a time.

reFRESH Cowichan, including the reFRESH Cowichan Food Recovery Program and the reFRESH Coupon Program, are just some of our many initiatives. If you would like to donate to CGC, please indicate which program you would like to support.

Our work is made possible by the support of everyday community members like yourself. Thank you on behalf of every person whose life will be touched by your generosity.

The reFRESH Cowichan Food Recovery Program accepts fresh produce donations during business hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 4:30pm.

Food Donations:

The reFRESH Cowichan Food Recovery Program accepts fresh produce donations during business hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 4:30pm.

To drop off donations, please park in The Station south parking lot at 360 Duncan Street. You can use our loading zone briefly, if it is available. Please come to the reFRESH Cowichan Marketplace door in front of the building, and one of our staff members will be able to assist you.

If possible, please call ahead to ensure the produce you’re intending to donate will be put to the best use. 250-748-8506.

Food donations are divided between the service providers we deliver to (60-80%), the reFRESH Cowichan Kitchen (10-20%) and reFRESH Cowichan Marketplace (10-20%), where our reFRESH Coupon Program participants benefit from your donation. Please let us know if you have any questions or if you would prefer for the donation to be allocated in a specific way.
